TEMM Joint
Research on Dust
and Sand Storms

Dust and Sand Storms (DSS) are atmospheric phenomena observed
in Northeast Asia causing environmental adverse impacts.
This transboundary atmospheric issue has been a great concern to the region in an environmental management context.
China, Japan and Korea have been conducting joint research to solve
these issues in collaboration with Mongolia, under the Tripartite Environment Ministers Meeting (TEMM) since 2008.
